March 2011 – after the official assignment by ASFINAG, the start of our activities at the Pfänder tunnel occurred. Another milestone for Dürr Austria in terms of implementation of large tunnel projects in Austria.

Start of a new era! After several attempts we have succeeded together with our partner Teerag Asdag to penetrate also in Austria into the world of traffic influencing systems with the traffic control installation project at Graz.

April 2011 - the State Streets Department of North Rhine-Westphalia commissioned DÜRR Group GmbH with the installation of the traffic jam warning system on the A42 motorway at Herne.

April 2011 - The Building Department Regensburg commissioned DÜRR Group GmbH with the project B20 bypass of Furth im Wald - Deschlbergtunnel, installation of operational equipment.

Gleisdorf / Stubenberg, March 2011

The German Dürr Group acquires shares in the software company evon in Stubenberg via its 100%-owned subsidiary Dürr Austria GmbH.

January 2011 - the Regional Council at Stuttgart commissioned Dürr Group GmbH with immediate measures at the Lämmerbuckel tunnel on A8 motorway at Wiesensteig.

After only three months, the first re-construction phase of the Annweiler group of tunnels could be released to the traffic on 06 September 2010, three weeks before the planned re-opening date.

August 2010 – the Passau State Building Department awards DÜRR Group GmbH the contract to retrofit operational facilities in the B11 Riedberg Tunnel (Regen).

Installation of the safety equipment for the second tube of the Roppen Tunnel is proceeding apace.

On 10 July 2010 high-ranking politicians joined local residents and representatives of the companies involved in the construction to celebrate the official opening of the Donzdorf bypass.

June 2010 – The Alptransit Energie AG consortium (ARGE ATE) awards Dürr Austria the contract to supply fibre-optic cable as part of the equipment packages for Lot A2.

Despite the unusually long, cold winter and an additional 10 months of construction and 19 years after the tunnel was first opened, the retrofit of the operational and safety equipment in the two 512 and 536 metre tunnel tubes was completed to schedule and the tunnels were fully reopened for traffic on 7 June 2010.

On 28 April the first traffic was officially allowed through the new Salzburg-bound Tauern Tunnel tube with its recently upgraded safety equipment.

January 2010 – ASFINAG awards Dürr Austria the contract for retrofitting tunnel systems in the high-priority road network in accordance with STSG (Austrian Road Tunnel Safety Act) – a further chapter in the history of road and traffic safety technology in Carinthia.

In the presence of VIPs from the worlds of politics and business, the A5 PPP Y East Region project was officially opened on 29 January 2010.

November 2009 – Landesbetrieb Mobilität Cochem – Koblenz awards DÜRR Group GmbH the contract for upgrading the operating facilities in the B257 Altenahr-Ditschardt Tunnel bypass project.

October 2009 – ARGE Alptransit Brenner awards Dürr Austria the contract for the cable works as part of the basic equipment packages in Lot A1.

Oktober 2009 – green light for an international era in close collaboration with an internationally active Italian partner.

Oktober 2009 – A double-tube tunnel with a length of 1080 m per tube. Two service buildings, each with a MV system with 630 kVA transformers and a 60 kVA UPS system to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to safety components.

After more than 30 years in the planning and three years in the building, the new stretch of the B14, the Winnenden bypass, has finally been completed.
